The Trivial Pursuit of Happiness – May

Communities of Wellbeing recently hosted The Trivial Pursuit of Happiness, an uplifting evening that brought people together through laughter, connection, reflection, and fun. It was wonderful to see so many community members come together to enjoy a night focused on wellbeing, positivity, and shared experiences.

The event highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for joy and connection within our busy lives. Through trivia, conversation, and social interaction, attendees were reminded that wellbeing is not only about managing challenges, but also about nurturing relationships, belonging, and moments of happiness.

Some of the key messages from the evening included:
· Happiness is strengthened through connection and meaningful relationships.
· Laughter and fun are important protective factors for mental wellbeing.
· Strong communities create positive energy, support, and belonging.
· Taking time to socially connect is essential for maintaining good mental health and wellbeing.

Paint & Create for Wellbeing – April

The April Paint and Create for Wellbeing event was a relaxed, inclusive creative experience designed to support mental health and social connection. Participants were guided through a painting session in a welcoming environment where no prior artistic skill was required, encouraging self-expression, mindfulness, and a sense of accomplishment.

The event fostered a strong sense of community by bringing people together to connect, share, and unwind. It promoted wellbeing through creativity, providing a safe and supportive space for individuals to reduce stress, build confidence, and engage in meaningful activity. The session highlighted the positive impact of mindful art on overall wellbeing while strengthening community connections through conversation of shared experiences.

Burnout & Languishing – Navigating the Fog– March

Nicole Jordan led a powerful and practical workshop titled “Burnout & Languishing – Navigating the Fog.”
Many of us recognised the feeling she described straight away — that sense of being overwhelmed, stuck, or running on empty. It’s something more and more people are experiencing, yet we don’t always have the language or tools to deal with it.

Nicole helped unpack what burnout and languishing actually look like in everyday life and, importantly, what we can do about it. The session was practical, interactive and refreshingly simple. Participants experimented with short tools and strategies — many taking less than two minutes — designed to interrupt stress spirals and bring energy back to the mind and body.

What stood out most was the sense of connection in the room. People sharing experiences, learning together, and realising they’re not the only one navigating the fog.

A big thank you to Nicole for bringing both deep expertise and a very human approach to wellbeing.

Sound Bath-February

Soothing Sounds · Deep Rest · Grounding Practice

Slow down, breathe deeply, and let candlelight and sound guide you into stillness.

Our first Communities of Wellbeing 2026 gathering was launched by a Sound Bath, led by Chun, from Satya Yoga. It offered a deeply restorative experience, creating a rare pause from the pace and pressures of everyday life. Through carefully curated sound frequencies, participants were invited into deep rest, allowing the body to soften and the mind to settle. The atmosphere was calm, intentional, and nurturing — a space where stillness felt both accessible and necessary. Many participants described a sense of clarity, release, and reconnection, with the effects of the experience lingering well beyond the session itself.

Looking ahead to 2026, this Sound Bath represents a clear and intentional shift in our wellbeing vision — one that places the reduction of stress and burnout at the centre of our work. Our future events will focus on empowering individuals with practical wellbeing tools and strategies that support sustainable balance, resilience, and long-term wellbeing. By creating spaces that invite reflection, restoration, and renewal, we aim to foster a culture where wellbeing is not an afterthought, but a lived and supported priority.

Takeaway gentle intention…

What is one small way I can care for myself today and in the future?
